But effective writing comes from much more than simply having a passion for our language.

Yes, there's an element of skill to word wizardry - not least, a decent-sized and varied vocabulary and a good grounding in grammar (oh, and a dash of creativity doesn't go amiss!).

 

What sits way above this is a natural flair for connecting with people. A desire to listen, empathize, share information, and re-tell someone's story in an engaging way. Throwing my superpowers, my 'quil' - aka Macbook - and bags of experience in communication, marketing, research, and sales into the mixer, out pops a beautifully worded, iced and sprinkled communications cake. YUM!

Until recently I had been writing my own content and hadn’t really considered using the services of a copywriter or considered the value until I was planning an upcoming campaign. How foolish had I been? Working with Deb has been, and continues to be, absolutely fantastic and she has made a huge difference to the way that I work.
